Just finished my first book of 2025, 'Chit Lit' by Kadali, and it's been an eye-opening experience. While it's not your typical 'chick-lit' story, it dives into the unspoken societal rules imposed on women. These rules, often overlooked or taken lightly by men, carry profound emotional and mental weight for women. The book explores how these dynamics shape perspectives, relationships, and societal roles.

Kadali beautifully blends real-life examples with thought-provoking discussions on mental trauma, social issues, societal mindsets, and even the influence of cinema. The writing starts off as a slow burner, gradually pulling you into Shalini's world, her emotions, and her unique perspective on these universal challenges.
Certain segments stand out vividly—the Goa episode, with its immersive narrative, and the 'Day on App' montage-style writing, which creatively captures the passage of months.
Kadali's opening note, "Idilaa ne vundalani penche thallidandrulaki – endukani prashiniche pillalandariki," sets the tone perfectly, reflecting the book's core essence.
Kadali, I can’t wait for your next book! Perhaps a deep dive into one of the many intriguing topics touched upon here?
Overall, 'Chit Lit' is a must-read for Millennials and Gen Z. It doesn't just tell a story; it makes you pause, reflect, and feel the unspoken struggles women face every day.
I recommend it for anyone ready to see the world through a different lens. Kudos to Kadali, the team, and publishers Anvikshiki for bringing this impactful book to readers.
