As I wish you many, many more birthdays and tons of happy returns of the day, I muse about what makes your birthday extra special for me. We came to know each other when you became a co-producer of my debut movie as director, Nuvvu Thopu Raa, helping us so well in the filming of the movie in the USA. ‘How was the day?’ you would ask, and if I said, ‘Good’, you would say, ‘What didn’t happen to make it awesome?’ Your encouragement, support, dynamism during the hectic filming in the USA and your continued, warm engagement with the team afterwards made you one of the core set of people who ensured the successful making, the release and the reception of Nuvvu Thopu Raa. The great family man that you are, you very easily made the whole team feel like they were part of your extended family.
I treasure what we share, James sir, and look forward to our continued friendship for years and years.
